TENNIS COACHING IN SCHOOLS

At CourtFit we value making tennis accessible for all ages and abilities. As part of this, we offer tennis coaching in schools as part of the P.E. curriculum or as an after school tennis club exclusive to the students!

Over the years we have been fortunate to work with many different schools providing fun and active lessons for all children to encourage them to get on court. We have a great relationship with the LTA who offer school help with funding to get more children participating in tennis for fun and in competitions.

All CourtFit coaches are licensed and affiliated with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). Through the LTA, they are all DBS checked, trained in first aid and safeguarding, and have undergone reference checks from previous employers.

Tennis in primary schools

Primary school lessons focus on developing fundamental movement skills, coordination, and balance, alongside the foundations of tennis. Introduction of drills will start to develop skills around rallies, volleys and serves, but the emphasis is on staying active, building confidence and having fun!

Tennis in secondary schools

Our Secondary school programme provides a group coaching programme, but also modified formats of the game to work within non-tennis court locations including the high-energy fitness-based Cardio Tennis, meaning tennis is accessible and engaging for everyone.
